In the fenced reserve «Semey ormany» completed the preparation for the fire-dangerous period. In all branches of the developed plans of cooperation to fight forest fires, agreed with the local Executive authorities. Planned volumes of fire prevention measures in 2012 and defined the procedure of organization of forest fire extinguishing, interaction, formed by voluntary teams. In the case of major forest fires is planned the further raising of forces and means of fire extinguishing of the state fire service, various organizations and peasant farms adjacent to the state forest lands. Namely 15 fire engines, 9 Vodovozov, 190 vehicles for the transport of persons, 225 wheeled tractors, 8 track-type tractors, 1880 man with a manual inventory. Attraction of forces of fire fighting of the MPI-2 Semey desm of East Kazakhstan region will be implemented in the required quantity. There is an agreement on cooperation with the forest administration of the Altai territory of the Russian Federation for the timely prevention, detection and extinguishing of forest fires and mutual assistance.
According to the order of the Committee of forestry and hunting management, the date is set to the beginning of fire season in the forest - from April 10, 2012.
For the timely detection and extinguishing of forest fires in the fenced reserve there are 28 forest fire stations (FSC), the equipment of which there are 64 fire machines, 6 Vodovozov, 113 tractors. For the detection of forest fires has 34 fire tower. Formed the staff of ПХС: 159 drivers fire engines, 162 working fire brigades, 136 observers on fire towers, 143 operator.
In addition carried out aerial surveillance of forests two helicopters MI-2 Borodulikha and Букебаевского авиаотделениями RGKP «Казавиалесохрана».
To the beginning of fire season in the branches created a reserve of fuel and lubricants for the extinguishing of forest and steppe fires in the amount of 151 tonnes of gasoline, there are food for the amount of 1001,8 thousand tenge.
In order to prevent the occurrence of forest fires during the fire season it is planned to implement the following fire prevention measures:

      the device of the mineralized strips - 418 km;
      two-time care of the mineralized strips with a total length - 12392 km;
      conducting controlled annealing is 630 km;
      mowing grass on the borders of forest - 3450 ha.

To date produced by annealing of dry grass vegetation in the amount of 384 km.
Since the beginning of fire season in the territory of «Semey ormany» registered 9 cases of forest fires on the area of 1 ha, including forest 0,93 ha. For reasons of occurrence of fires are divided:

     from lightning - 2;
     steppe fell - 2;
     because of the population - 5.

Also from the beginning of year on the lands of rural districts located close to the protected zone of the su «ГЛПР «Semey ormany» there have been 22 steppe fire on a total area of more than 40 hectares.
In Beskaragay area of 4 cases on the area of 2 ha, in Бородулихинском area of 6 cases on the area of 4 hectares, on the lands of the Maslikhat of Semey 7 cases on the area of 4 hectares, in Zharminsky and Urzhar areas 5 cases on the area more than 30 hectares.
For the effective combating of forest-steppe fires it is necessary to take under the control of peasant farms on the observance of the rules of fire security, tighten the conduct of surveys of tractors, so as a fault and the wear of the engines, are the main cause of the steppe fires. Strengthening of requirements to organizations with Railways and roads, which pass and bordering with the state forest Fund, in compliance with the fire safety rules, because every year these organizations are not fully met the requirements.
