Fruitful Union of science and practice

One of the main goals of the forest reserve «Semey ormany» and «of Irtysh ormany» - this is the restoration of lost pine forest. To do this annually increase the area of plantations, nurseries, the territory of the расчищаемой Gary. Foresters Приитышья use all the possibilities to increase the pace of the recovery.
Using scientific approaches, new methods and development is an important component in achieving this goal, which allows to speed up the process and increase the efficiency of planting work.
Research workers in the field of forestry for many years cooperated with forestry specialists-practitioners. Here and in this month in reserves profit in business two recognized scientific luminaries in the field of forestry Sabit Байзаков, doctor of economic Sciences, Professor, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of RK, Director of the research and innovation of the Institute of the Kazakh national agrarian University and Sergo Iskakov, Professor of the Department of forest resources and the region of the Kazakh national agrarian University.
Academician Байзаков told our correspondent that a group of scientists working on these experiences, offers лесоводам use three methods of reforestation on the slash fires.
The first way is to create биогрупп of large сеянцав. Two years ago the scientists landed on the territory of the reserves of the prototypes, so-called, large landing materials. This seedlings of pine, whose age 7-8 years, of a height of about one meter. The results are very encouraging - survival rate of planted 95-100%. This is a very high indicator. While the survival rate of planting material of the traditional way (seedlings of pine two-year, the height of 20-30 cm) is on average no more than 50-60%. This method of planting in turn is divided into three methods. The first is the disembarkation of seedlings on the rectangular areas, the 4 by 4 meters (16 seedlings). The second method, the disembarkation of seedlings in the round-plots - one seedling in the center and the other in a circle at the same distance. The third method is for one plot of land biological groups of rectangular and triangular shape.
The second method of planting, proposed by scientists, the planting of crops separate blocks, the size of 4 to 9 hectares. The distance between the units of not less than 200 meters. This way of landing is different from the continuous planting of its wear. That is, in the case of a forest fire, the fire will not advance so quickly, and will be a «brake» on the open intervals, which will give the opportunity for additional time for localization of fire.
And the third method is thick landing, but with further thinning and transplanting of grown seedlings in other places. This will allow to avoid superfluous expenses for thinning.
Scientists are also working on the issue of use of waste from timber production. Today from thinning cuttings, sanitary cuttings, forest thinning forestry receive sawn timber. This small volumes, however, in perspective, the production of sawn timber and other wood products will become very topical. Only 30% of the wood goes for sawn timber, the remaining 70% (bark, twigs, branches, needles) are not used. Specialists in the field of forestry offer the use of waste for production of fuel briquettes, wood-based panels. From the needles can be made высокопитательную vitamin fodder flour for cattle, extracts and paste for the cosmetics industry. Rational use of wood waste decided to have another big problem - the sanitary state of the forests. Because of the waste pollute the forest, increase the risk of fire, contribute to the reproduction of pests and harmful microorganisms.
Today, the use of waste is possible only in the presence of high technologies and the actual technology. In developed countries a long time ago already exists waste-free production - there uses wood completely. The goal of Kazakhstan's scientists - to develop recommendations on the creation of non-waste production in the wood processing industry, taking into account the international experience and adapt it to local conditions.
According to academician Байзакова, collectives of both reserves are optimistic that all employees understand the importance of scientific developments and actively assist in conducting the experiments, they are focused on results, heads of institutions of progressive thinking people. And scientists and practices sure that their joint work will be productive, because they do a great and noble cause - restore forest riches of his homeland.
